CHICAGO, IL – We are pleased to announce that Updata Partners VII and LP co-investors invested $117 million in Nerdio, a Chicago, IL-based Microsoft cloud infrastructure management solution.
Nerdio adds value on top of the powerful capabilities in Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, and Microsoft Intune. Its products deliver hundreds of features, simplifying management, ensuring efficient operations, and lowering compute and storage costs by up to 80% compared to unoptimized Azure environments. Nerdio is the only Azure management platform that allows admins to seamlessly provision and manage deployments of both Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 side-by-side. This allows partners and organizations unmatched flexibility for scaling and fine-tuning their DaaS (Desktop-as-a-Service) approaches and equipping employees with the right desktops and applications.
Nerdio’s strong, capital efficient growth and impressive unit economics reflect the traits we seek in investment targets. Following the raise, Nerdio plans to double headcount over the next year with a focus on expanding the company’s executive leadership, geographic footprint, and go to market model.
Updata will be represented on the Company’s board by General Partner Carter Griffin and Operating Partner John Burton. We look forward to supporting Nerdio’s continued success.
